Sanity Department: 2010 Edition!

T Junior on Christmas morning at "Ma'amamas Howse."

There are some changes in store for this site. Here are my Year 2010 Goals for the NEW & IMPROVED Sanity Department!

A NEW LOOK & PURPOSE
This site started out as a place for me to vent and reach out as a new mom. Now that I am 1-1/2 years into being a mother, I feel I've got it down most of the time. I sort of know what I'm doing. Sort of. That's why I haven't been writing as much here. Every day is not the adventure it used to be. That's not a bad thing, but it just doesn't make for exciting content. My daily adventures in running have kind of taken over at Mom vs. Marathon.

What will I be focusing on here? I'll still be writing about all kinds of mom stuff, but I'll also be writing more about writing. Currently, I'm working on a non-fiction book about my running adventures. I'd love to share that experience with you here and at MVM. In fact, the two sites will probably cross paths more often.

In addition, I want to focus more on reviews here and I'd like to do some giveaways of the things I love. I won't post daily, but I will promise to post at least once a week.

Sanity Department needs a face lift. I can't promise it'll be a fancy-schmancy makeover, but I can promise a fresh, new header, and new links in the sidebars. New photos, more photos! I also would like to point out that the changes won't be made overnight. They'll be gradual. Just being realistic.

What else would you like to read about or see? Please let me know!

SANITY SAVER REVIEWS
Sometimes I find things that I can't live without. I always mean to share them here, but often I get distracted by life, a toddler, my running blog...you know how it goes. But for 2010, I will be sharing anything and everything that helps me keep my sanity on a daily basis. I've got a list going in my head, but the first one most likely will be this amazing bib T Junior received for Christmas.

And if you have a sanity saver that you want to write about on your blog, e-mail me, kerrie (at) sanitydepartment (dot) com, and I will link to it here! Let's spread the word on things that make life easier!
