I've been needing to get T Junior's hair cut for a while. Not that he has a ton of hair, but the sides were growing over his ears and flipping up like little whispy angel wings. And since we are going to have our family picture taken tomorrow, it had to be done today.
It started off okay, even though he looks a little confused.
And it quickly went downhill from there...
Sorry, buddy. Welcome to boyhood.
Day 235: Runner Girl With Bangs
-
I am a Runner Girl with Bangs. An RGWB. This means I wear all sorts of head
gear in order to keep them out of my face.
Several weeks ago, I won a BondiBa...

Yep, that's how these things go. At first they don't know what's happening and everything is just fine, but then they realize...
Lovely pictures though!
I got my oldest daughter's hair cut last night at a kids' place, and there was one little boy screaming, but it was cute!
Kerrie,
This is priceless! With three nephews, two of whom have reached the 'boyhood/first hair cut' age, I can totally relate. There was sooo much conversation prior to their first cuts: "When ARE you going to cut that hair? He looks like a girl for gooddness sake!" OR.... the other end of the spectrum: "Oh no! You CAN'T possibly cut those BEAUTIFUL curls." (Never mind that he looked like he belonged in the Girl Scouts instead of BOY Scouts. And of course my sister's reaction: "Like heck I can't. I'm his mom." (with a smile, of course)...
We recently went through the little girl version of this with my 7 month old niece: ear rings (one word or two??).... She was furious and her mom was beside herself. Again, priceless. Ah, being an auntie and watching my sisters raise their youngsters is always interesting....
God Bless you Moms (and Dads)... that's a big job! :-)
Thanks for the advice re: blogs and schedules. I really appreciate it! I especially appreciated you mentioning the titles, b/c somehow I missed your running one altogether, I think...?? duh!! I'm headed there now...
Happy Thankgsgiving! Hope you guys have an awesome family day! (Can those two words go in the same sentence?? ha ha)
Hugs from Orlando,
R
