Three things happened today that made me say: "That's so cool."
ONE...
...happened this morning after T Junior was finished nursing and during our daily staring contest. I noticed he was petting my arm. His hand was flat and he was stroking my wrist. My heart swelled as I witnessed this small developmental sign.
TWO...
...happened this afternoon. I placed T Junior in his Pack N Play downstairs with some of his toys: a rolly-polly elephant he likes to bump with his arm, a mirror and a little soft stuffed doggy. I ran upstairs to put fresh sheets on his crib mattress. When I came back down, I saw that he wriggled toward the stuffed dog and was petting it! He was running his hand along the toy feeling the soft "fur." Wow.
THREE...
...happened with Mr. T, and I didn't know about it until I mentioned actions ONE and TWO to him. T Junior and Mr. T were having a play session when T Junior reached up and touched Daddy's goatee, and continued to feel and look at it. So cool.
While the thought of my baby growing up makes me get prematurely nostalgic, witnessing his physical and mental growth is truly exciting. Seriously, TV networks should make a reality series called, "Babies: What Will They Do Today?" I can't wait to see T Junior's next show!
